What does "totes" mean?

It's an abbreviation for "totally", originally from Valley Girl dialect English in the 1980's iirc. See also "fur sure", "for realizes", "as if", and the informal/inexact quote/action/feeling definitions for "(entity) was/is like" and "(entity) was/is all".

Please do not learn English from Adventure time lol. Totes is a pretty normal (if informal/juvenile) word to use, but a lot of the things they say in that show are 100% nonsensical and will confuse native speakers.

"Totes" means "totally." This is relatively recent, but it's now fairly common in informal speech and social media. "We should totes" and "we should totally" are both **very** informal speech, as in the type of speech used by teenagers. (Frankly, I see "totes" more among adults mimicking teenage speech than among teenagers.) Don't use "totes" in formal/work settings, and don't use "totally" like that either. Just say "we should..."
