It's new year, how a native would say this:
"Hope you are having a great start of the year?" Or "Hope you are having a great beggining of the year?"
Or there are other idioms to express it???

"Hope you are having a great start *to* the year" works.
Otherwise, you can say "hope your 2025/your new year is off to a good start" or "hope the new year is treating you well".

* “I hope the year’s starting out well for you!”
* “Hope your year’s going well so far!”
* “I hope your new year is good so far!”
* “Hope the new year is treating you well so far!”
* “How’s your new year?… good so far, I hope?”
There are so many ways to say this.

In Scotland, if it's the first time we've seen them since before New Year, we say Happy New Year, any time through till the end of January.

Happy New Year. If it’s still January and I haven’t seen or spoken to the person since December, that works.
