Learned it as "ella-menta-ree" but now say "elementree"

As an American, it's "elementree" where the "tr" at the end has some "ch" in it Saying "elementary" or "elementerry" sounds British to me (I don't know if they actually pronounce it that way)--with some long words Americans and Brits put the stresses on different syllables

Severe-Possible-
as a person who teaches english, i pronounce it as it is spelled, each syllable, (so the first one) so my kids will hear the correct spelling.
