There's no context, but could anyone tell me what "I knew would never have one" means?

Without context it’s impossible to know what it’s supposed to mean because it’s not very grammatical.

This sentence seems incorrect out of context. I can’t even imagine the context in which it is correct. It seems like it’s missing a word (or words).
