Some pronunciations from listening materials are odd.

Some pronunciations I heard from [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BpuIzzzIqjE](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BpuIzzzIqjE) are odd. Like "Discussion"(from 2:10) : >"We've been discussing what to do here and we’ve decided to plant a poplar tree in the museum gardens." And "Done"(from 2:30, sounds like Don to me): >In terms of fundraising to support our activities, we’ve done very well. I wonder whether it is normal or just misspeaking.

It’s a very common, British accent. There are many accents in England (and Britain more broadly) that one must become accustomed to.

It's a Northern English accent, I believe. I'm not English, so I can't say which one. In Northern England, the vowel in sun, /ʌ/ sounds similar to the vowel in put /ʊ/ in most other dialects. [Here's a Wikipedia article on those northern dialects.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_language_in_Northern_England) you'll notice a map of England at the top that has a ʊ over part of the North.

It's normal, for a Northern English acccent.
