Need a little help on grammar

justsomedarkhumor
Need some help with grammar. A little yap; I’m going back to private highschool at 20+ y/o due to some circumstances and I don’t know how to say this. Not sure if I am a native english speaker or my other mother tongue since my country is the only country in the world that is explicitly opened to all cultures and races (no fixed). Enough with yapping. Can anyone please tell me what are the difference between has, had, have and has had? Edit: Oh and if you guys don’t mind sharing, what basic grammar do I have to master to make my essays flow smoothly? I have read composition/ essays written by 13 year old with just the basic english and it is 20x better than mine lol

"Has" and "have" are present tense. "Has" is for he/she/it, while "have" is for I/you/we/they. "Had" is past tense for everyone. "Has had" or "have had" is past perfect, which means something happened before another past event. Example: "I had had breakfast before going to work." Sounds weird, but it’s correct. If you want your essays to flow better, to begin with - focus on sentence structure, punctuation, and verb consistency. Make sure every sentence has a subject and verb. Don't mix past and present tense unless there's a reason. Break up long, messy sentences. Use commas and periods correctly so your ideas don’t run together. Keep word choices natural—don’t use fancy words just to sound smarter. Clarity is always better than complexity.

Has = present tense of have but only for “he/she”. I have it. You have it. She/He has it. They have it. We have it. Had = past tense of have I had it. You had it. She/he/they had it. We had it. Have = present tense I have it. You have it. She/he has it. They have it. We have it. Has had = past tense, kinda similar to “used to have” She/he has had a bad day. I have had a good day. We have had a bad day. They have had a good day. “Has” doesn’t sound right when talking about anyone other than she/he. Idk why

It will be very difficult to memorize all of these things. I don't recommend only studying the grammar of english. I would recommend listening to videos that are created for learners. They speak in slow, clear, and easy english This way you can hear all of the words in a natural way! How much of this video can you understand?
