What does 'ate up' mean in this context!?

The original video is just an influencer I like, dancing, and she is good... but what does this comment mean!? Does getting ate up mean something horny, or does it mean she's going to get outperformed by everyone??

It means that she would be obliterated.

You've been given some good definitions here, but I'd just say it's a person being criticized from every angle, metaphorically like a person being attacked and "eaten up" by many piranhas. So that's why it makes sense.

To be eaten up means to be severely chastised. "Ate up" is the AAVE version of this.

It has the same connotation as “picked apart” in this context if you are familiar with that phrase. To be ate up basically means to be ridiculed here. Fun fact: “Ate up” can also be used in other contexts. Thing includes with food (however I’m sure you’re aware of this one already) and also in the context of entertaining others. An example of this might be, “I gave a big speech yesterday, the crowd ate it up!” Hope this helps :)

in this case "ate up" means they would get a lot of comments making fun of them or bullying them. I don't think this is a very common phrase, but it is something a native would recognize on instinct.

It should actually be *eaten up* and it means to be criticized harshly.

based off the rest of the comment i'm assuming "Ate up" in this context means she would be made fun of/bullied a lot if she were American.

I think a standard English version of this expression is to say someone would be “eaten alive”. It’s exaggerated, expressing that people would be so hostile it is like they are piranhas or something. “Ate up” is a dialect variation of this. In standard English, eaten is the past participle of eat, but some dialects use “ate”, as the past participle as well as the simple past.

I think the comment is trying to imply that she would get a lot of negative reaction for her video. In short, she'd get roasted basically. Not necessarily something horny or sexual. Also, grammatically correct way of saying that expression would be "get eaten up"
