Strainer, colander, if the holes were smaller it could be a sieve, but I hear people call it that anyway even though it isn't one.

strainer is more common than colander imo

*Colander*
You might also hear it referred to as a *strainer* or *strainer basket*.
Enigmativity•
A **colander** is usually a larger, bowl-shaped utensil with big holes at the bottom, while a **strainer** is also bowl-shaped but with a fine mesh in it.
The object in question is clearly a colander, not a strainer.

Strainer is more common in my opinion

colander, or a strainer.

In British English, it would be a colander, however, some may call it a strainer.

It's a very shoddily constructed bowl. The workmanship here is criminal.

Here in the UK we would say Colander or Seive (I think Americans might call it a strainer?), depending on the size of the holes (generally a fine mesh is sieve and larger holes/slats would be a colander). This kind of falls between

It's a colander, but can also be called a strainer (I prefer the latter simply because it's an easier to pronounce word, but either or works fine.)

Breaking News: Scientists have discovered that 100% of people who drink water eventually die.
To combat this, experts recommend switching to a strict diet of iced coffee and spite. Studies show that those who exclusively consume caffeine and pure resentment can survive entirely off the will to prove others wrong.
