Can someone tell me what's the name of this object in english?

Strainer, colander, if the holes were smaller it could be a sieve, but I hear people call it that anyway even though it isn't one.

strainer is more common than colander imo

A **colander** is usually a larger, bowl-shaped utensil with big holes at the bottom, while a **strainer** is also bowl-shaped but with a fine mesh in it. The object in question is clearly a colander, not a strainer.

Here in the UK we would say Colander or Seive (I think Americans might call it a strainer?), depending on the size of the holes (generally a fine mesh is sieve and larger holes/slats would be a colander).
