English opens up a whole new world of information. A majority of the internet is in English. It also provides more job opportunities. In my country, people often joke that being fluent in English adds a 0 at the end of your paycheck lol

What is your native language?
What do you need English for?

Ye, motivation is the hardest part. I've been trying to learn English using apps like Duolingo and stuff and ended up leaving it because it turns boring after a while. So I think the only way to keep motivated to learn english is using it around your interests. Find and participate in communities in English of something that you like, view videos, read posts, articles, whatever you find about something that you actually like to do and it's not like a forced task.
Also, if you want to learn it more seriously, you could try by getting some classes or courses and prepare for take an international English exam, like the Cambridge university tests.

We can’t create interest for you—it has to come from within. The key is finding something that makes learning the language meaningful to you, whether it’s connecting with others, enjoying movies and songs in their original language, or improving your career prospects. Once you see the personal benefits, motivation will follow.

I have something that might help you.
I have a Discord dedicated to learning languages. We have a few learning English too.
We just chat / play games / text / banter with other learners and natives. It is way more fun than doing it by yourself.

For me growing up, if I wanted to learn more about the world it had to be in English because my native language had zero free resources on other cultures. Pick a topic or interest and only use English for it. You can learn about most things in English, if they are scientific or cultural. Likely better than your native language.

Get a native English speaking boyfriend or girlfried who doesn't speak Korean. There's your motivation! I had a Korean girl friend once and learned some Korean for her.

What are you interested in, in general?
If you're interested in science, watch YouTube popular science in English.
If you like sci-fi books, read one of those.
If you like music, analyse the lyrics of a few songs.
If you're into politics, read news stories.
..etc.
Find something that is *genuinely* interesting to **you,** personally. The "learning English" should happen naturally, as a side benefit, when it's something you **want** to be doing.

For me, it all came gradually. I had the same motivation slump you’re in. Then things changed—English took over my content. Soon, I saw my native language couldn’t keep up, and I got motivated to learn English more since there was no other option. Now I’m even working on my own language-learning solutions. But I’ve had those lows too. My advice? Don’t focus too hard on losing motivation or messing up—just keep going. It’s like tripping on a walk: don’t stare at the spot, get up and move. Motivation drops? Accept it, find English content you like, figure out what to learn, and push on

If you find the language boring, read about the history of it, which brings a lot of its quirks and difficulties to life and makes sense of them.
