What do you think is the best way to learn English

DistributionGlad4726
Hello, I’m Korean and i’m planning to live United States in 10 years. But I have trouble with learning English I can understand what people are saying when written. But my writing and speaking skills really suck Even in this post there may be some awkward expressions. So what do you think is the best way to learn English especially for writing and speaking

The best way to improve speaking and writing skills is to do a LOT of speaking and writing. You may want to take a writing course to handle written grammar, but practice is the most important thing. Just do it a lot. Write every day. Speak every day (even if you're just talking to yourself).

There is no best way IMHO. Everyone's experiences are different. A good start would be to browse this sub for stories other people have gone through. To acquire good skills is a matter of time spent in an environment where you have total immersion. Constant interaction at a job or being part of a group is key since you'll come across several situations that seemingly cannot be invented or played in a mock-up scenario.

You're already doing the right thing by immersing yourself in the country.

Just keep practising! There's no best way. Also, people learn differently, some learn by reading, or movies, etc. For speaking and writing, just practice and assess yourself or get a good teacher (again, you should practice )

Best way to learn any language is to actually use it. So speaking, speaking and more speaking practice to improve speaking and pronunciation and writing, writing and more writing practice to improve your writing XD It's truly as simple as that. My friend came to the US when he was 9. His English is impeccable. He credits watching TV.

Come to Canada instead. Who actually wants to go to USA now with all that is going on.

I’m also struggling with speaking and writing even though my reading/listening is okay. 😅 For speaking, what helped me was forcing myself to talk every day, even if it’s just describing my day out loud or chatting with myself. Sounds weird, but it builds confidence! For writing, I’ve been keeping a super simple journal in English. At first it was full of mistakes (still is lol), but over time it feels less awkward. Also, reading Reddit/books and copying how native speakers write helps a ton.

Watch TV or movies with English and seriously try to copy the characters words and phrases to get your pronunciation better
