What is the correct phrasing when referring to something that has occured in the past? "Did you took that /went there or Did you take that/go there?

my aunt 'corrected' me today when I asked her "Did you took your pill aunty" and she said its 'Did you TAKE your pill not took'.Can a British native speaker please tell me which is the correct way of saying this in the RP dialect? Please and thanks!

What does "due" mean as in "due diligence" or "due procedure"?

Do those mean the same thing? I looked up the word in the dictionary and one of the definitions is "of the proper quality or extent." Not sure if this applies to "due diligence" and "due procedure"

If your roommate left something on the stove and it started getting too hot

What would you say to her? This has actually happened to me before, and I didn't know what to tell her. I just dragged her to the kitchen😂

How do you pronounce “with something”?

Hi everyone, I'm having a hard time pronouncing "with something" without pausing between them for like 1s. If I force myself to say them faster, I either end up pronouncing "something" as "thomething", or "with" as "wiss". E.g.: "be snowed under with something" “with something like that“

Why is there not many "had" in this? Isn't he referring to something that happened in the past?

An earthquake was reported OFF Malibu

Does this sentence imply that the earthquake happened in the ocean? As far as I know "off" means away/leading away so OFF MALIBU could mean somewhere near Malibu, but my friend says it's implied it happened in the ocean
